The sole is hard on the Sheepers slippers, will this become more flexible with wear?

Yes our sheepers become very soft with wear and mould to your foot in a few days of wear.

What is the Sheepers slippers made of?

The highest quality suede, the softest sheepskin, woollen interior,  a leather trim, a waxed cotton embroidery and the sole is leather.

You advise to order a size down on Sheepers slippers, why?

We advise to order a size down as the Sheepers slippers loosen and soften with wear, so a pair that feels snug initially, will loosen and become comfortable over time.

If you wear your slippers with thick socks then order true to size.

Is the top on the Sheepers slippers real sheepskin?

Yes, the slipper is made of real sheepskin and the interior wool.

Can protective spray be used on slippers to minimise staining / water damage etc?

Yes protective spray can be used this will not damage the slipper but dependent on brands. Please check this with the brand you use.

Can Sheepers slippers be washed and if so how?

We do not advise you machine wash any of our slippers as they are handmade, however we have tested Sheepers to be washed on a delicate wash and they were fine.

Can you wear any of your slippers outdoors?

We advise not to wear our slippers outdoors. However if you need to go to the shops (providing there is no rain) that should be fine or throwing out the garbage is fine.

Do your Sheepers slippers accommodate for wide feet?

This is a tricky one as they do stretch within wear. So a pair that initially feels snug has to be worn in. We then suggest ordering true to size.

How do you source the sheepskin and is it sustainable?

Our sheepskin is a by-product of the meat industry. For the farmer, approximately 90% of the value of a sheep is derived from selling the meat and less than 10% is derived from the sheepskin itself, our suppliers are regulated and ensure the raw materials are sourced in an ethical manner.  Sheepers believes mulesing is cruel and inhumane.

Genuine sheepskin is 100% biodegradable, so when it does get thrown away, it doesn’t lie in a landfill for hundreds of years like a product made from synthetic material.

How do you package your products?

All our products are packaged in an eco bags with our branding, they are made from PP non woven fabric (spunbond). However some products are packaged in 100% cotton gift bags and magnetic fast ribboned boxes depending what has been purchased. Please read the product description.

We then use polythene envelopes. We are working on the sustainability of our packaging and hope to change this soon.
